Hello Brenda. Thanks for your feedback and apologies for the late reply. You diagnosed the issues correctly. Muting participant mikes is important for trouble free interaction and three computers in one area would be a problem on a not-so-fast Internet connection.
Yes, you can upload your presentation well in advance to your content library, which can be imported into the Virtual Classroom when required.
I just sponsored our first summer book club discussion on mystery books and don't feel too great about it. I found myself trying to handle technical issues as well as, moderating the session. Our biggest problem was dealing with the echo and static. We did try to remind participants to "mute" the mikes and I did have three computers in the same area. I'm thinking these were the causes of our sound issues. Can anyone confirm this??
I also waited until the day of to upload my powerpoint and it took too long so that I couldn't use it during the session - lesson learned! Plan ahead!
